Consistent with the policies of Jordan Standards & Metrology Organization of preparation of Jordanian Technical regulations/ Jordanian Standards to comply with International and Regional Standards and to keep pace with scientific developments and all that is new in the world of industry, the permanent committee for Equipments of fluids and gases flow (37) has studied and prepared the Jordanian regulation No. 1924/2011 of Transportable refillable fully wrapped composite cylinders for Liquefied Petroleum Gases (LPG) – Design and Construction

This Jordanian Technical Regulation 1924:2011 is an identical adoption of the European Standard 14427:2004 "Transportable refillable fully wrapped composite cylinders for Liquefied Petroleum Gases (LPG) - Design and Construction" incorporating its amendment A1:2005.

This Jordanian Technical Regulation specifies minimum requirements for materials, design, construction, prototype testing and routine manufacturing inspections of fully wrapped composite cylinders with a water capacity from 0,5 litre up to and including 150 litres for liquefied petroleum gases (LPG). It specifies also the conformity evaluation and the marking of the cylinders.

The Board of Directors of the Jordan Standards & Metrology Organization has adopted the Jordanian Technical Regulation 1924:2011 in its session No. (1/2011) dated on 27/3/2011 to become effective after three months of the date of its publication in the Official Gazette, which mean it will be effective on 2/8/2011.
