Water – Desalinated drinking water in private plants

For the purposes of development, restructure, revision of the Jordanian standards the permanent technical committee for water and wastewater (17) has been amended the Jordanian technical regulation No. 1528:2010 related to Water – Desalinated drinking water in private plants, in order to match the technical requirements of this technical regulation with the technical requirements of its amended references.

 

This technical regulation specifies the general requirements and the microbiological, chemical and physical standard requirements for desalinated drinking water in private plants used for processing, desalinating and bottling water. Natural mineral water or bottled drinking water does not included in this technical regulation.

 

The board of directors of the Jordan Institution for Standards and Metrology has decided to approve this technical regulation 1528/2010 in the meeting No 1:2010 in 21/1/2010, and considered it to come into force after 3 months from the publication date in the official gazette.
